You don't "fall" in love. 2/26/2010 10:00AM
You can not "fall" in love with anyone. That concept is a lie. You can only GROW more deeply in love with yourself. I am tired of the media, and the subliminal messages of mass marketeers deceiving people by claiming that there is something missing from anyone's life if they do not have a life partner. Sometimes we must work on ourselves to be the perfect fit for ourselves, before we can explore the possibility of being in partnership with another. I see so many couples, and families who aren't even in touch with theirselves. How they brought children into the Universe is beyond comprehension. This is not a judgment, just the truth. For those who spend all their time looking outside of theirselves to find the deepness, and the rootedness that can only come from within, I say, good luck. When we're looking for someone to fill in the gaps, we are only fooling ourselves, that we are ignoring the need for self-healing/revealing of our own truth. I am so glad that I woke up out of my dream of thinking that I was constantly "falling" in love. I am now growing more deeply in love with myself. I am grateful for this truth. Love is within me.
Amen.
